How to configure Deakin email/calendar on an iPad/iPhone

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Select Mail, Contacts and Calendars from the left menu.

  3. Select Add Account.

  4. Select Exchange.
  5. Enter the following details:
    • Email: Your primary Deakin email address
      • For staff it's predominantly
      • For students it's
    • Password: Your Deakin password
    • Description: Something meaningful e.g. Deakin email
  6. Select Next in the top right corner.

  7. Choose the services you wish to synchronise and select Save.

Data usage

By default, the Fetch New Data option will be set to Push. This means email will update immediately, which also means it may use your data if you are not connected to wi-fi at the time. It is therefore recommended that Push be turned off and Manual selected.
