How do I join a meeting/webinar using the Skype for Business App?

Additional Information:The following method is relevant to;
  • PC's running Skype for Business and Mac devices running Lync.
  • Mobile devices with the Skype for Business or Lync app installed.
All Deakin supplied PC's and Mac's have the Skype for Business or Lync (Mac) client pre-installed.

To Join a meeting using Skype for Business:

  1. Open Skype for Business. In the Skype for Business main window, click the Meetings icon.

  2. In the meeting list, right click on the meeting and click Join.
    Note: This applies to meetings that have been created as a "Skype for Business" or "Online" meeting only. The method to join the meeting will vary depending on device and app being used. With no Skype for Business application installed, these options will not be available.

    right click, then click join
  3. Select the Audio option required, default is Use Skype for Business, full audio and video.
