I am having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi (Wifi, eduroam) on my personal Mac

If you have previously connected to eduroam and are now having trouble re-connecting, you may need to remove the saved Eduroam settings and then reconfigure the connection.

Remove eduroam credentials

  1. Select Spotlight (Magnifying Glass in the top right corner of the screen), enter Keychain Access and press Return

  2. On the left side of the window, select the login Keychain and the All items Category

  3. Delete any listed items mentioning eduroam (e.g. certificate and eduroam 802.1X Password)

  4. Enter your Mac password if prompted

Remove Eduroam Profile

Mac OS X 10.7 or later

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Open Profiles
  3. Select the eduroam profile and select the - (minus) button in the bottom left corner

  4. Enter you Mac password if prompted

Mac OS X 10.6 or earlier

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Select Network
  3. Select Wifi (or AirPort) and Advanced

  4. Select the 802.1Xtab
  5. Select the eduroam profile and the - (minus) icon
