How do I search my Outlook 2013 directory for staff members only (Windows)?
By default, Outlook is configured to search the entire Global Address List (address book) when looking for an email contact. The Global Address List contains all staff and students currently at Deakin University, a student being distinguished by the use of capital letters.
You can configure Outlook to search for Deakin staff members only, by following the below steps.
- Click on the Home tab.
- In the menu bar, click Address Book.
- In the Address Book window, click Tools > then Options.
- In the Addressing window, under When opening the address book, show this address list first - use the drop-down menu to select All Staff.
- Click OK.
The next time you open the Address Book, you will notice that All Staff will be the default search list. You can repeat these steps to change it back to the Global Address List (All Contacts).
